How to make ketones for esters

Hey!

Have you ever tried to make a ketone from your ester and ended to synthesize a tertiary alcohol? Maybe you are thing it wrong!
For example you cannot make a ketone from an ester using a Grignard reagent, the ketone you would synthetize with a Grignard addition would be more reactive than the starting reactant ester, the reaction move forward and a second addition happen.
The final product will be an alcohol.
